The Conversion Brief

We were approached from a company wanting to use a small 10ft shipping container as a generator store, after speaking to the client and showing previous generator stores, we have converted, they choose a previous conversion to follow the same modifications.

Breakdown of the Project

We have converted a high number of shipping containers for a wide range of clients needing generator stores. We were approached from a company wanting to use a small 10ft shipping container as a generator store, after speaking to the client and showing previous generator stores, we have converted, they choose a previous conversion to follow the same modifications, the generator store was fabricated from a 10ft new shipping container.

The client bought the generator for the store as it needed to be a particular size and power output for their job. Once we received the specification and dimensions of the generator the conversion, the modifications were able to begin.

The container conversion took approximately 4 weeks to fabricate and was delivered to the client.

Conversion breakdown

The Modifications included in this generator store are below.

  • 1no. 10ft new build container (10ft x 8ft x 8ft 6”).
  • 1 no. personnel door fitted to the left side panel.
  • 2 no. large vents fitted to the left and right-side panels to increase ventilation.
    • Aperture cut out on both sides for vents dressed with 50mm box section.
  • Bund flooring fitted in case of any oil spills.
    • Resprayed to match the external colour.
  • Diesel tank fitted to the rear of the internal container.
  • Cable entry point on the right-side panel.
  • Resprayed externally in white as requested by the customer.
