The Conversion Brief

A high order of 7no. 20ft shipping container conversions all modified the same to side by side on-site. Each container conversion had heavy duty shelving fitted along the two sides and 2 no. personnel doors fitted for staff to gain access

Breakdown of the Project

20ft new shipping containers fitted with heavy duty shelving & personnel access doors.

We supplied 7 x 20ft new ‘one trip’ shipping containers to a large manufacturing company based in Scotland. The shipping containers were to be butted up side by side and fitted with internal opening personnel access doors to both side walls. This enabled the shift workers to gain access from units 1 through to unit 7 to collect materials.

All containers were fitted with heavy duty 3 tier shelving down both long sides (shelving formed from steel box section framework with 25mm ply shelf tops) for storage of various materials.

The containers were finished externally in dark green, RAL6007, with the internal corrugated panels were touched in with paint where the welding took place for when the shelving was installed. We also stained the 27mm hardwood flooring and painted the framing on the shelving to match the internal of the container.
