10ft Workshop Container Modification

Breakdown of the Project

A returning customer in the Petrochemical industry who have previously ordered 20ft workshop containers with storage space required a similar configuration but in a 10ft new build container. The site that requested the container conversion only needed a smaller site workshop so they could store workshop supplies and tools.

The specifications we received from the customer was integra, the container required heavy duty shelving internally with specific spacing between each tier for the items that they would be storing. The workshop purpose built steel shelving that was welded in place along the left-hand side of the 10ft container. The shelving length was another important measurement as at the end the drawing required rigging hooks and required enough space to attach the various rigs. For the tool storage shadow board was attached to the right-hand side of the internal right-hand corrugated panel.

For all of the container conversions we have produced for this customer we have resprayed externally the container to the company’s colour scheme. This workshop container needed to be sprayed in RAL5015 which is an electric blue. The container was delivered to the new site after a strict deadline of 2 weeks.

Conversion breakdown

Briefly, the unit compromised of the following;

• 10ft new container converted with internal modifications.
• Located at the back of the container, rigging hooks were installed.
• Internal 4 tier shelving was fitted along the left-hand side leaving enough room at the rear for the rigging hooks.
• Shadow board was fitted on the right-hand side fitted to the client’s specification.
• The unit was resprayed in clients specified RAL colour. – RAL5015.

We manufactured the unit in a short lead time of 2 weeks from confirmation of order.
