20ft container converted into 50-50 COSHH store / Rigging Storage

Breakdown of the Project

We were approached from a local client to our head office in Sedgefield after seeing previous container conversions that we have done on our website. The client (being local) arranged to meet with our sales team and fabricators at our office to discuss plans for the conversion and if the project was possible, after the discussions we received the specification and project was started. Using a 20ft new ‘one trip’ shipping container for the conversion.

Conversion breakdown

Modifications Included for the COSHH store and rigging storage container.

• Double doors removed from the front replaced with a new corrugated panel.
• 2no. 8ft x 8ft 6″ apertures cut out of the left side panel.
  • Replaced with 2no. double door access doors.
  • To fabricate 2no. 10ft stores.
• Sprayed externally to match company colours.

Individual modifications for the 50/50 conversion

10ft Rigging storage section.

• Internal electrics fitted.
  • 1no. strip light fitted above the entrance.
• 20no. hooks fitted.
  • 10no. on each side.
• 2no. 3 tier secure caged storage fitted to the rear of the section.

10ft COSHH store section

• Internal electrics fitted.
  • 1no. strip light fitted above entrance.
• 4no. square vents fitted to the double doors of the COSHH store.
  • 2no. on each cargo door.
• Raised bund flooring with drainage pointed fitted for any spillages.
• 5no. caged raised secure storage welded in place.
  • Across the rear, left and right panels of the COSHH store.
• ‘L’ shaped brackets welded in place.
  • To hold 4no. oil drums in place.
• Retractable step.
• 1no. Large storage cabinet fixed in place.
